ARTIFACT: This is a Musty Ale of Philadelphia handled mug from the period prior to Prohibition, which began in 1920. The mug is in a two-tone brown and credits Robert Smith as the ale's maker.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1900s-1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 3-15/16" in height and 3" in diameter (at base); handle sticks out from mug 1-7/16".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted china.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: CHESTER HOTEL CHINA.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a beverage-related collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCEX08 L/SHEX12/10

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The mug has some crazing which lends to its overall broken-in look and has no chips or cracks.
