This is a Musty Ale of Philadelphia handled mug from the period prior to Prohibition, which began in 1920. The mug is in a two-tone brown and credits Robert Smith as the ale's maker.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1900s-1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-15/16" in height and 3" in diameter (at base); handle sticks out from mug 1-7/16".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted china.
MARKINGS:CHESTER HOTEL CHINA.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The mug has some crazing which lends to its overall broken-in look and has no chips or cracks.
