Pair of Indian Wars Cavalry 1st or 2nd Lieutenant Rank Straps in Velvet, Wool & Bullion

This is a pair of circa Indian Wars United States Army Cavalry rank straps for either a first or second lieutenant. These were possibly made for state use instead of federal. These straps are salty: they were removed from a uniform found in Arizona. I wish these could talk! The straps are in velvet, wool and golden bullion.

Circa Indian Wars (1880s).

Approximately 4-3/16" by 1-5/8" (each).

Wool, velvet and bullion, paper tag.
