Description
Nice WWII Japanese Naval Officer dagger. This great example features intricate sakura flower details on the pommel (kashira), guard/hilt (fuchi / tsuba / tsuka / habaki), and scabbard (saya). The handle is a made of genuine ray skin and is coiled with decorative wire and shows a high relief sakura decoration on either side. The scabbard is wooden and covered with shark skin and bears lovely detailed brass embellishments. The dagger also features a knob that locks the blade into the scabbard.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The dagger shows minor to moderate wear mostly to the scabbard and blade, and a few spots of patina, overall nice example in very fine condition.
