ARTIFACT:
This is an old vintage 1920's-30's large, hand-woven basket from Maine, made by a member of the Passamaquoddy tribe. The basket is in a lovely light honey tone with pink/red and blue/green pigment decoration and has a sturdy, squared-off handle that comes to a decorative beveled point at the center of its underside.

Circa 1920's-1930's

Approximately 12" x 8" tall - with handle 12"; 8" diameter across top

CONDITION:
7+ (Very Fine+): Basket shows overall wear and some areas of storage wear from water perhaps. The colors of the bark are visible, weaving is in overall great condition.
