This is a salty circa early World War II shoulder patch for the United States Army Air Forces China Air Task Force (CATF). The patch is Chinese-made and shows a golden winged tiger and a silver star done in bullion. The CATF replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "e;Flying Tigers"e;) and was the precursor to the 14th Air Force.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cloth embroidered in bullion and silk thread.
