Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a nice old circa 1890s stock detective shield badge. The badge is by Allen Bros. of Boston, Massachusetts and has a large hallmark on the reverse. The badge reads DETECTIVE in a diagonal banner and has some small engraved details for decoration.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

ALLEN BROS. 55 CORNHILL BOSTON.
