Large 1880s - 1890s "Stock" Deputy Sheriff Shield Badge Nicely Embellished

This is a large circa 1880's - 1890's "Stock" Deputy Sheriff Badge in a very unique shield shape. The badge has some decorative embellishments at center and framing the words DEPUTY SHERIFF and also has a nicely zig-zag engraved border.

Approximately 2-7/16" in height x 2-1/8" in width.

Nickel\ plated nickel with black painted lettering & embellishments.

Vertical one piece pin with an open catch.
