ARTIFACT:
This is a nice 1973 Zippo ship lighter for US Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton (WHEC-715). The Hamilton was based in Boston MA and named for Alexander Hamilton, the first United States Secretary of the Treasury and founder of the United States Revenue Cutter Service. The ship has served a variety of missions with distinction, from assisting in the Vietnam war from 1969-70 to drug busts as soon as 2007.

Circa 1973.
SIZE:
Approximately: 2-1/4" in height x 1-1/2" in width x 1/2" in depth.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Chrome plated brass, Flint.
ATTACHMENT:
To be carried in pocket to light up your smokes.
