Description
ARTIFACT:
Nice 1930's - WWII Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Power Plant Foreman badge by Braxmar Co., in New York. The convex center depicts a spread winged eagle bearing the US Shield on its chest and clutching an anchor in its talons in nice relief detail and surrounding it reads: "POWER PLANT U. S. NAVY YARD PORTS. N. H." The top of the badge features an eagle with wings spread and head bowed and shows a banner in its beak that reads: "FOREMAN" and the reverse shows a nice maker's plate.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1930's - WWII.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-3/4" in height x 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Chrome plated brass with painted details.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical kick pin with 'C' style catch.
MARKINGS:
"C.G. BRAXMAR CO. 242 WEST 55TH ST. N.Y."
