Nice 1930's ??? 1940's Department of the Interior lapel pin for 30 years of service by Metal Arts Co. in Rochester, New York. The center shows a Great White Buffalo in nice raised detail and surrounding it reads: "U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR 30 YEARS". The Dept. of the Interior is tasked with the management and conservation of most of the country's federal land and natural resources. The Department also administers programs relating to the territorial affairs of the Native American, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians.
