ARTIFACT: This is a 1943 US Military guide entitled "A Short Guide to Great Britain." This is a great - though out-dated - guide to the country, people and customs of Great Britain. This is the guide issued to many of the troops that were stationed in England preparing for the D-Day invasion. The original owner's name is written on the cover.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: About 4-1/4"in width by 5-1/4" in height; 38 pages in softcover binding.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed paper and staples.

ATTACHMENT: Staples for binding.

MARKINGS: S/Sgt. F.H. Bergman written on cover; U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE: 1943-O-525901.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The book has some light wear with a slight crease on the last page and some writing on the cover.
