ARTIFACT: This is a minty Nationalsozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung, or NSKOV (National Socialist War Victim's Care) Army veterans' association hat badge. The Nazi Party established this welfare organization for wounded World War I veterans in 1934 and it was disbanded with the fall of the Third Reich. The lightweight badge is in aluminum with an enameled swastika. It is maker-marked "2" on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-1930s-WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 2-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Aluminum with enamel, brass prongs.

ATTACHMENT: Three bendable prongs.

MARKINGS: 2 GES GESCH.

CONDITION: 9+ (Near Mint-): The badge is minty.
