ARTIFACT:

This is a mint and unworn circa late 1960s United States Navy USS Holland (AS-32), a submarine tender. The Holland was launched January 19, 1963 at Pascagoula, Mississippi and was decommissioned on September 30, 199She provided vital support to the Polaris missile. The patch is Japanese-made by Ace novelty and reads WORLD'S GREATEST TENDER around its border.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
