Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1960s United States Navy's USS Benjamin Franklin SSBN-640 nuclear submarine jacket patch. The patch is oval and shows a bomb surrounded by a key, lightning bolt and fish. The patch reads BENJAMIN FRANKLIN SSBN 640.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

2-7/8" height and 5-3/4" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads.
