This is a Japanese-made patch for the United States Navy's USS James Monroe SSBN-62The patch shows the Monroe Doctrine with a globe superimposed upon it and the North Star and reads USS JAMES MONROE SSBN 622 WATCHFUL WAITING.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:5" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully- embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads.
MARKINGS:Attached original label reads ACE NOVELTY BOX 1374 TOKYO JAPAN.
