ARTIFACT: This is a circa mid- to late 1960s hostess cap badge from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), which started flying in 1947 under the name of Orient Airways. PIA came into its own as a state-owned airline in 1955. The badge is in gold with green painted details and has a removable felt backing.

VINTAGE: Circa mid- to late 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, painted areas, felt/mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal British kick (Y) pin with knob stopper catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows some minor wear and tarnish.
