ARTIFACT: This is a circa mid-1980s patch for the United States Navy USS Finback SSN-670. The patch reads STEELY-EYED KILLERS OF THE DEEP SSN 670 DUNGEON DWELLERS. The Finback was launched at Newport News, Virginia on December 7, 1968 and decommissioned in March 1997. The affectionately monikered "Forward Pukes" designed the Dungeon Dwellers patch and had it made for the boat. The patch was first used in 1981 for a Mediterranean cruise and may have been used in the late 1980s as well.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-1980s.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads.
