Description
This is a lovely circa 1911 Imperial German "student's" pipe. The pipe is done in porcelain, nickel-plated brass, wood, twine and silk, with a stag and cow horn mouthpiece. Alfred Schilling was the original owner, and the bowl of the pipe is dated September 191The front of the pipe bowl has a wonderfully colored crest.
VINTAGE:Circa 1911.
SIZE:Approximately 10-1/2" in height and 5" across (as seen from the side).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Porcelain, nickel-plated brass, wood, twine, silk, stag horn and cow horn (mouthpiece).
ATTACHMENT:Hinged cap on pipe bowl, twine.
MARKINGS:L. Huth, Hfr.(?) Poessneck on back of neck of bowl.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The pipe has very light wear only with some minor oxidation around the rim of the cap.
