Late WWII US Army Persian Gulf Command Patch-Type DI

This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army Persian Gulf Command. The insignia shows a seven-pointed star above a sword with a curved blade.

Circa late World War II.

Approximately 15/16" in height and 11/16" in width.

Gilt brass, enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
