This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army Persian Gulf Command. The insignia shows a seven-pointed star above a sword with a curved blade.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height and 11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows little wear.
