This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 1st Service Command. The insignia is a blue Roman numberal one against a white diamond.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
