ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 71st Infantry Division, also known as "The Red Circle". The pin is by Amcraft. It does not have a maker mark, but has Amcraft's distinctive starburst design on reverse..

VINTAGE:

Circa late World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 7/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAX12 LCCX11/12

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The DI has some light wear and some small spots of oxidation on the reverse only.
