This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 71st Infantry Division, also known as "The Red Circle". The pin is by Amcraft. It does not have a maker mark, but has Amcraft's distinctive starburst design on reverse..
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The DI has some light wear and some small spots of oxidation on the reverse only.
