This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States 70th Infantry Division, also known as the "Trailblazers". The insignia is red and shows the blade of an ax with a pine tree and mountain in the distance.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:1E.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The DI has some light discoloration and a couple of small cracks in the enamel.
