Late 40's - Early 50's Douglas Aircraft 5 Years of Service Pin by Robbins

ARTIFACT: Late 1940’s – early 1950’s Douglas Aircraft 5 years of service pin by Robbins. The center shows a nearly 3D globe with the North and South American continents showing and three planes flying across in nice detail. Around the raised center globe it reads: “DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT CO. INC 5 YEARS” and the outer edge features a nicely embellished border. The reverse shows a Robbins maker mark and illegible, hand-scratched initials or name of the original owner.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940’s – early 1950’s

SIZE: Approximately 3/4” in diameter, 3/16” in height

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Gold-filled, enamel

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: “1/10 12KT” and Robbins maker mark

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows minor to moderate age wear, much of the gold fill and enameled details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
