This is a circa late 1970s pocket patch for the United States Navy Special Boat Unit 12 or SBU-12 (now known as Special Boat Team Twelve). Beginning in 1978, SBU-12 was an operational unit of Special Boat Squadron One. Among its responsibilities was providing UDT and SEAL support.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 3" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads.
ATTACHMENT:None.
