ARTIFACT:

Late 1970's United States Marine Corps 9th Amphibious Brigade jacket patch made in Okinawa. The center depicts a dagger against a shield shaped background of red and blue. Along the top there are nine stars and the patch reads: "9TH MARINE AMPHIBIOUS BRIGADE". The 9th regiment was deployed to Camp Schwab, Okinawa and was reassigned in August 1969 to the 9th Marine Amphibious Brigade. Later, in November of 1969, the 9th MAB was reassigned to the 3rd Marine Division.
