ARTIFACT:
This is a circa late 1960s Northwest Airlines flight attendant wing 6th issue. Founded in 1926 as Northwest Airways, the company changed its name in 1933 to be allowed to carry air mail. Northwest merged with Delta Airlines in 2008. The wing is nicely detailed and there is a red, white and blue bull's-eye design at center bearing a smaller wing.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1960s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
