Late 1940s Old Spice Advertising Shaving Mug In Ceramic by Hull Pottery

This is a circa late 1940s Old Spice advertising shaving mug. The ceramic mug is by Hull Pottery and features the famous Old Spice three-masted ship logo with a banner reading SHIP FRIENDSHIP. Old Spice men's products, most famously their aftershave, have been around since 1937: items for women followed only one year later. The mug comes with a vintage bristle brush.

Circa late 1940s.

Mug: approximately 2-15/16"e; in height and 3-1/4" in diameter; brush: approximately in length and in width.

Mug: ceramic; brush: wood with horsehair bristles.

Handled mug.

No mark on mug; RUBBERSET TRADEMARK MADE IN U.S.A. STERILIZED 200-2 on brush.
