ARTIFACT: This is a sterling silver lapel pin for California Eastern Airways Inc., a company that acted as behind-the-scenes aviation and logistics support for the Department of Defense. In 1962 the company became Dynalectron, performing extensively in Vietnam. The pin is enameled in white and two shades of blue and shows a plane crossing the globe.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940s-early 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with enamel, brass nut.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: STER.
