ARTIFACT:
This is a late 1940s sterling silver belt buckle for AVENSA (Aerov??as Venezolanas Sociedad Anonima), a Venezuelan airline that flew from 1943 to 2002. The buckle is by Hickok of USA and shows a winged medallion at its center bearing the silhouette of South America.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 1-15/16" in width and 3/8' in thickness.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Sterling silver with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:
Buckle.
MARKINGS:
HICKOK USA STERLING ZN-ALLOY.
