ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1920s member medal for the Shriner's Royal Order of Jesters. The Jesters got their start on board the USS Wilhelmina in 1911 in Hawaii, and the by invitation only Order has been adhering to its motto ("Mirth is King") ever since. The medal is in multi-colored enamel and shows an anchor with a question mark in place of a shank. At the bottom border the member's "court" number is enameled: 107.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickeled brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Decorative suspension clip.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a secret society collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LHEX9/12 SHEX05/14/20

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The medal is in wonderful shape and all enamel is intact.
