ARTIFACT: This is a late World War II Bronze Merit Medal of the Order of the German Eagle (Bronzene Verdienstmedaille), an award given largely to important non-German citizens sympathetic to the Nazi cause. The medal is in zinc and shows a Maltese Cross with four swastika-bearing eagles on the front in relief. It hangs from a red ribbon with narrow off-white and black stripes.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: Approximately " in height and in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Zinc, silk.

ATTACHMENT: Suspension ring, ribbon.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII Nazi Germany medal collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-MMB25-VCJJX12 LDEJX1/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The medal has some light wear; ribbon has some small areas of medium wear.
