This is a circa late 18th or early 19th century bone "pastes" box, possibly either European or American in origin. The box opens to reveal a rectangular mirror edged is silk and a velvet lined tray opposite.
VINTAGE:Circa late 18th or early 19th century.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in length and 15/16" in width and 7/16" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bone, mirror, velvet lining, silk edging, plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge, push in catch.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The box is handsomely yellowed and the velvet lining is somewhat stained (fabric edging is very delicate).
