ARTIFACT:

This is a large and early United States Navy League Supporter badge with an anchor at center and reading USNLS. The United States Navy League Supporters were parties, civilian or otherwise, interested in promoting and supporting the Navy's activities.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I or earlier.

SIZE:

1-1/16" diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass with white and blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety pin.

MARKINGS:

McCAFFREY.
