ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful, large Australian-made United States Army Air Forces 43rd Service Squadron, 5th Air Force patch. It is shaped like a beech leaf and has a "borrowed" design by Disney of a bee with several tools ready to multi-task.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 7-3/4" in height and 5-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidery thread on wool felt, cotton/linen backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX093 LCDEX5/13

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The patch has several moth-nipped areas, mostly along the edge.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
