This is a Korean War era Penguin lighter for the United States Navy USS Saratoga (CVA-60). The front of the lighter has a nice enameled coat of arms for the ship reading INVICTUS GALLUS GLADIATOR.
VINTAGE:Circa Korean War.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" height and 1-1/2" width and 1/2" thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass, brass enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge.
MARKINGS:HIGH QUALITY LIGHTER PENGUIN NO. 19581 JAPAN.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The lighter shows some very small spots of medium wear along its edge and some abrasions on reverse.
