ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early 1950s Penguin lighter for the United States Navy USS Carbonero SS-33The front of the lighter has a great enameled medallion showing a fish wielding two missiles and the reverse has a brass dolphins insignia.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" height and 1-1/2" width and 1/2" thickness.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Chrome-plated brass, brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Hinge.

MARKINGS:

HIGH QUALITY LIGHTER PENGUIN NO. 19531 JAPAN.

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The lighter shows some areas of light to medium wear and has some scuffing and a very small dent on the top of the cover.
