This is a circa 1959 Penguin lighter for the United States Navy Exchange grand opening at Yokohama, Japan. The front has an engraved anchor bearing the letters USN and the reverse reads: GRAND OPENING JUNE 1959.
VINTAGE:Circa 1959.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" height and 1-7/16" width and 1/2" thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge.
MARKINGS:HIGH QUALITY LIGHTER PENGUIN N0. 19531 JAPAN.
