This is a Japanese-made patch for the United States Navy's USS Triton SSN-586, the first submarine to circumnavigate the globe completely underwater. The patch shows the ship's crest with a hand grasping a triton, two atomic symbols and two falcons. The patch reads TRITON NULLI SECUNDUS (second to none).
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:4-9/16" height and 3-1/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully- embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads.
MARKINGS:Attached original label reads ACE NOVELTY BOX 1374 TOKYO JAPAN.
