This is a Japanese-made patch for the United States Navy's USS Thresher SSN-59The patch shows a shark and a submarine and reads USS THRESHER VIS TACITA (silent strength).
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:4-15/16" height and 4-15/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton threads.
