ARTIFACT: This is an interesting 1930s wall plaque by Farberware of New York. The company was started in 1900 by S.W. Farber, a tinsmith by trade. The plaque is a ceramic plate with a wide, aluminum border. There is a scene showing two women and a child in period clothing in a clearing in front of a church. The hammered border has a decorative embossed leaf motif.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 16-1/2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Aluminum, ceramic.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: FARBERWARE BROOKLYN, NY on ceramic; WROUGHT FARBERWARE KLYN, NY on aluminum.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The plaque has some scattered spots of light to medium wear and discoloration and has no chips.
