ARTIFACT: This is a very rare and large circa late 1920s bullion pilot wing for Nordbayerischer Verkehrsflug GmbH. The airline flew only briefly from 1926, when it was set up as a supplement to Germany's primary carrier, Deutsche Luft Hansa AG-DLH, until 1931. The wing has a lovely bird in flight encircled by a blue ring at center.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-13/16" in height and 5" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool embroidered in bullion threads, plated brass, enamel, cotton backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The wing has light wear and spots of tarnish and minor oxidation.
