Description
This is a framed circa World War II photograph of a United States Air Corps P-39 Air Cobra (or Airacobra), a fighter plane by Bell Aircraft popular with many countries' forces. The P-39 was revolutionary in that the engine was placed behind the pilot, and it was suited best for low-altitude missions. This photo was taken from the unique perspective of just under and in front of the plane's propeller.
