Named WWII US Air Corps Distinguished Flying Cross with Box, Photos, Patch and Zippo

This is a named United States Air Corps Distinguished Flying Cross grouping from World War II including the Cross in its case, four photographs, a patch and a Zippo lighter with the airman's name engraved on it (Red Naylor). The medal is given for heroic or outstanding performance in flight and this one reads 1ST LT. ARTHUR C. NAYLOR A.C.

Circa World War II.

Medal: approximately 3-1/2" in height and 1-11/16" in width; bar: approximately 3/8" in height and 1-3/8" in width; medal case: 8-1/2" in height and 3-1/2" in width and 1-1/8" thick; patch: approximately 2-1/2" in diameter; photos: 4-1/2" x 2-3/4"; lighter: 2-3/16" in height and 1-1/2" in width and ½" thick.

Medal/bar: plated brass, silk ribbon; case: leather, velvet and silk lining; patch: fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads; lighter: .

Medal/bar: horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch; case: hinged; lighter: hinge (pin is missing).

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The items are in various conditions but on the whole are very fine. The cross and case are in wonderful condition; patch has moderate wear and photos are somewhat faded, while lighter has missing hinge pin.
