Description
This is a beautiful and huge jacket patch for the 1958 cruise of the United States Navy's USS Essex CV-9, Air Task Group (ATG) 20ATG-201 was comprised of the following squadrons: VF-62, VF-11, VA-83, VA-105, VAW-12 (Det. 45), VFP-62 (Det. 45), VA (AW) 33 (Det. 45) and VAH-7 (Det. 45). The patch is Japanese-made and shows a broke, flaming sword with wings at its center. The last images are from an ATG-201 yearbook and are not included in the sale of the patch (yearbook photo credits: navysite.de).
