ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful, huge circa 1930s Deputy sheriff badge for Lake County, Illinois, situated on Lake Michigan. The badge is a five-point ball-tip star with a raised Seal of the State of Illinois at its center. It measures 3" by 3" and has a Meyer & Wenthe of Chicago maker mark on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 3" in height and 3" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: Meyer & Wenthe Chicago.
