This is a beautiful, huge circa 1930s Deputy sheriff badge for Lake County, Illinois, situated on Lake Michigan. The badge is a five-point ball-tip star with a raised Seal of the State of Illinois at its center. It measures 3" by 3" and has a Meyer & Wenthe of Chicago maker mark on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 3" in height and 3" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:Meyer & Wenthe Chicago.
