ARTIFACT: The highlight of this grouping is a WWII period uniform jacket that once belonged to World War II Major General Leven C. Allen, the Chief of Staff for the 12th Army Group. The jacket includes bullion Major General Stars, insignia, silk ribbons and a US Made 12th Army Group patch, also included is a signed period photograph of Allen, copies of WWII photographs and a binder with the Major General's biography and history/provenance of this uniform. There are also some miscellaneous loose insignia & items including a pair of Infantry Major's dress shoulder bands, a nice officer's dress sword knot, a 3-place ribbon bar, and a single 'US' collar insignia.

VINTAGE: Circa 1944.

SIZE: Jacket is about a size 38 long.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gabardine wool jacket with rayon lining; silk ribbons; bullion stars; one fully embroidered US-made patch.

ATTACHMENT: Various.

MARKINGS: Original manufacturer's label reads 6339 PHILA QUARTERMASTER DEPOT INSPECTED BY YDC.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON/MH/BJJJX10 LBEJJX4/10 RETCON8/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): Items are in various conditions but overall are in excellent shape. There is a small, approximately 1/2" tear in the back of the left sleeve (see images).
