This is a World War II United States Army Air Force flight instructor badge from Seymour Johnson Field in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The badge reads INSTRUCTOR SEYMOUR JOHNSON FIELD and shows a winged shield at center with the words SUSTINEO ALAS (Keep Them Flying).
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
2-1/2" diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Celluloid-wrapped tin.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal safety-style pin with &" C&" catch.
