Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare, UK-made jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 506th Bomb Squadron, 44th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. This group served in the UK and flew B-24 aircraft. The patch shows the Green-Nosed Flying 8-Ball.

VINTAGE:

Circa WWII

SIZE:

Approximately 5" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Embroidered multi-piece wool and felt construction.

ATTACHMENT:

To be attached to garment.

8 (Excellent-): Patch shows minor to moderate wear, slightly faded, was removed from uniform/jacket.
