This is a great World War II US Navy Submarine Service Print by Electric Boat Co. 1943. The title of this print reads "Pride of the Fleet" and depicts a beautiful red and black submarine firing torpedos at an unseen enemy to the right. The Electric Boat Company, founded in 1899, was quite important as its first manufactured submarine, the Holland VI, was the first modern submarine to be purchased and commissioned into the United States Navy where it became the USS Holland (SS-1).
