Description
This is a great World War II United States Armored Forces souvenir pillowcase from Camp Polk, Louisiana. Camp Polk, now Fort Polk, was established in 1941 and served as a POW camp as well as a training facility. The pillowcase is in blue silk with a golden fringe and has some red, black and gold velvet details, such as the lettering, the small action scenes in the corners and the colored sections of the pyramid insignia.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 20" in height and 19" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk, velvet, cotton backing.
ATTACHMENT:Flap in back for pillow.
